This is the litter to get - the clumping action is the best by far amongst the pea litter brands. A lot has to do with how the grains are much bigger, they are like strands rather than the typical spheres or beads. This offers a couple of advantages: 1) Great clumping action - it soaks up the pee fully and clumps tightly making it much easier to scoop out without leaving a trail. 2) You minimise wastage cause only the soiled strands get tossed out and the rest of the litter is left clean. This also means you don't have to change out your litter as frequently. With the other brands, I was changing out the litter every three weeks, even though I was clearing out the litter daily, the little remnants always made the fresh litter smell. Now it can go for a month to five weeks because once you toss out the clumps, the rest of the litter is left clean. 3) Very little tracking - again because the litter comes in grain form, even if your cat is a bit messy, you're not going to get tiny particles everywhere and because they are bigger, it's very easy to pick up or sweep up into a dust pan. 4) Scent-wise: I would say because of the great clumping action, it generally stays quite fresh as long as you clean your litter daily. Could it be more effective, yes, and that's why it gets a 4 out of 5. If they could improve the staying/lasting power, it would get a full score. Nevertheless, if you just add in a bit of baking soda every few days, it's not really a bother. The apple scent variant is very pleasant, so is the lemon one. Overall, you pay a bit more for this brand of litter, but for the convenience and because you minimise wastage, it works in your favour.
