INGREDIENTS ACTIONS
COLTSFOOT (Tussilago farfara) Coltsfoot is an expectorant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, demulcent and anticatarrhal herb that is traditionally used to treat acute catarrh of the respiratory tract with cough and hoarseness, as well as acute to mild inflammation of the oral pharyngeal mucosa, bronchitis, whooping cough, asthma, and emphysema. The flavonoids in Coltsfoot control coughing, relax spasms, soothe irritated tissues and reduce inflammation.
MARSHMALLOW (Althaea officinalis) Marshmallow helps soothe the upper respiratory system, which helps combat a dry cough, reduce coughing and prevents further irritation. A mucilaginous herb, demulcent, anti- inflammatory, antimicrobial, immunostimulant, nutritive, diuretic and vulnerary herb, Marshmallow controls bacterial infection, protects the intestinal mucosa, lubricates internal tissue, soothes and softens irritated tissues and contains high levels of calcium.
PLANTAIN (Plantago major) Modern research has found that Plantain eases coughs and irritation of the mucous membrane, which is associated with upper respiratory tract infections, and helps reduce the irritation of lung tissues that cause discomfort. It can also help stimulate the immune system. Plantain possesses astringent, antibacterial, demulcent, emollient and anti-inflammatory properties. It is an expectorant that soothes and lubricates internal mucous membranes, stops bleeding and is used to treat catarrhs of the respiratory tract and inflammatory alterations of the oral and pharyngeal mucosa. It has shown positive results in the treatment of chronic bronchitis of a spastic or non-spastic nature.
MULLEIN (Verbascum thapsus) Mullein has mucilaginous, analgesic, antimicrobial, astringent, antiseptic, expectorant and antiviral properties. It soothes and lubricates tissues, acts as a cough suppressant and mild sedative, and protects mucous membranes. It is an antiviral against HSV 1 and influenza. The high content of mucilage, saponins and antibiotic properties makes this herb ideal for the treatment of a broad range of respiratory ailments. It has been used for aiding coughs, bronchitis, asthma and other respiratory problems.
HOREHOUND (Marrubium vulgare) Horehound is an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, expectorant, choleretic, and bitter tonic. It relieves spasms and enhances bronchial mucosa secretion. It is often used for acute bronchitis, non-productive coughs and catarrh of the respiratory tract.
LICORICE (Glycyrrhiza glabra) Licorice has been used for centuries to support the digestive, respiratory, and endocrine systems. It is an immunostimulant, antitussive, demulcent, expectorant, antiviral and anti- inflammatory that potentiates cortisone effects. It helps with blood cleansing, lubricates and soothes mucous membranes, eases tissue damage in the upper digestive tract and facilitates movement of mucus from the respiratory tract. It also inhibits virus growth, inactivates virus particles and is active against herpes simplex virus, varicella zoster virus, and human immunodeficiency virus. The anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, immunostimulant, and corticosteroid properties of licorice help reduce pain, inflammation and itching.
LOBELIA (Lobelia inflata) Lobelia has been used for centuries to help with asthma, allergies, coughs, bronchitis and congestion. It causes immediate relaxation and expansion of the respiratory system, allowing oxygenated blood to flow freely. It is an anti-asthmatic, respiratory stimulant with antispasmodic, expectorant, alterative and diuretic properties.
GINGER (Zingiber officinale) The antiviral and antibacterial properties of Ginger help fight infections of the respiratory system. Ginger has stimulant, antispasmodic, antipyretic, carminative, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. It helps relieve pain, stimulates circulation, and reduces nausea and vomiting.
MYRRH (Commiphora molmol) Myrrh is an antiseptic, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory astringent with antibiotic action that controls bacterial infections and enhances healing.

Kitten Respiratory infections

Jan 09, 2022, Karen Koh

Given quite sometime but doesnt seems any different. Not sure if it works. Smell is strong that my cat cannot accept and have to force feed. Like that it is herbs, no need to worry about meds being too harmful.
