CASCARA SAGRADA (Frangula purshiana)	Cascara Sagrada is a medium to mild strength laxative and tonic. It is widely used in veterinary medicine and helps to soften stools and improve bowel movements. Common uses for Cascara Sagrada include: constipation, digestive complaints and dyspepsia. The peristaltic action of this herb is produced by cascaroside, which effects the large intestine. Cascara Sagrada is thought to be more effective than hydrolyzed aloins and is considered to be the mildest of the anthraquinone-stimulant laxatives.
MARSHMALLOW (Althaea officinalis)	A mucilaginous herb, Marshmallow is also a demulcent, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, immunostimulant, nutritive, diuretic and vulnerary. It controls bacterial infection, protects the intestinal mucosa, lubricates internal tissue, soothes and softens irritated tissues and contains high levels of calcium.
