I feel it does clump well on pee but less on poop, But so far kitten has no problem using it so I am fine with that. I bought various different colours/flavours to try - Confetti was aesthetic for my eyes :) There's a very unique smell to it but I wouldn't say it's not pleasant. You just have to get used to the smell because sometimes when I open a fresh new packet of soya litter, it makes want to have this uncontrollable puke reflex.
