I'm usually wary of bone chews cos of potential choking or tooth chipping hazards. This bone is slim and and not extremely hard. Smells good and has meat bits on it. Our medium sized dog loves this and chews it up within 5 to 10 min. No problem at all. But I'd still advise supervision with any 'hard" chews.
